How to get rid of carpenter ants?

"Bomb" the place as soon as possible. Carpenter ants are just as destructive as termites. The water damage most likely did not bring the ants in, just made them more visible. After using the "bomb" pick up Home Defense (which can be used indoors and out) and spray all the baseboards. That will help kill the ones that escaped the "bomb" as well as making sure you won't find anymore in your PJs.
