Was Swine Flu real or a hoax? If a hoax who is to blame?

Was swine flu real or a hoax? If it was real was it exagerated to make people panic and allow drug companies to make millions from vaccines and tamiflu drugs? If you look at it in general nothing serious happened, nothing more than the normal flu that we have. People die from normal flu every year, so what was it about swine flu that made it to be declared a pandemic? Why did millions of people get jabs they didnt need at all. Is someone going to take responsibility of this gross mistake or should I say hoax?
