My friend, who is a SAHM, said this - It really kind of offended me? What should I do?
A close friend of mine who is a SAHM (Stay at home mom), told me yesterday it must be nice to work and not have to do anything. Uh, hello! Not do anything? I mean I go to work every morning at 5 a.m., take my kids to daycare, bust my at work every day for 12 hours, get off, go home, make supper, do the dishes, laundry, clean, errands, groceries, yard work, then spend some time with the kids before putting them to bed. Excuse me, but does that sound like not doing anything. I'm not being biast on this either - I stayed home for a few yrs, but had to go back to work b/c of $, and staying home was way easier - set my own schedule, spend time with the kids, get all of the work around the house done at my own pace - no stress! This really hurt my feeling, I guess because it came from a friend. I work my off, more than she does. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Should I tell her that it hurt my feelings or just let it slide? (cont'd below in add'tl detalis)
