Question about phone plans with a PDA on AT&T?

i'm planning on buying a blackjack II when my contract term ends in march, what i'm wondering is, do you have to have the specific PDA plan to have a PDA, or how does it work? i'm really confused by it, because it has a whole seperate thing for texts and internet, which i have unlimited right now? it's on ATT btw.
