The Vampire Diaries TV Show?

Hi, everyone! I am currently reading 'The Struggle,' and am VERY into The Vampire Diaries series. Recently, I've seen the trailer for The CW's adaption of it, and ...... to me...... it looks like they're leaving out A LOT and trying to turn it into a Twilight (which it didn't copy, because it was written in 1991) and 90210 mess. I'll still watch it, but I'm kinda upset that it looks like they changed it so much. Who thinks it'll be good and who thinks it'll suck?
